Perth’s fave seven-piece jazz-hop kings Koi Child release the beachy vid for new single 1,5,9, a sophisticated bunch of beats produced by Perth neighbour Kevin Parker from lil’ old local band called Tame Impala.
Looking like a re-make of the dancing silhouetted Apple iPod figures, Koi Choi headed to South Beach in Fremantle to shoot this visually stunning clip atop the sand dunes at sunset. Add some cartoon embellishments from neighbourly Perth animators and friends at RLSM Studios, and we have ourselves quite the compelling clip.
Koi Child’s Parker-produced self titled debut album releases on March 18 and is available to pre-order on iTunes. Get your jazz-hop on to Koi Child live on their album dates below, including an intriguing support from the DJ Defs Worthit (AKA Kevin Parker DJ set) back home in Freo.
