Melbourne punks Batz are back with excellent psych-rocker Save Us, a catchy jam struck through with a quick beat, glimmery riffs and a yowling vocal all about holding on, hanging in there and trying like hell to stop going down with that ship.
BATZ’s Chrissy Aubry shares the back story. “I had flashbacks of nights out in London with my girlfriends and meeting various randoms, (some who became love interests) and thinking about scenarios where you felt like you could save the relationship,” she says, “I always feel like I’m the one that can save friendships and relationships, fighting for the last hope to salvage something special.”
Backs’ against the wall. Hearts’ beating out. The more you listen, the more Save Us gets under your skin. Engineered and produced by Alex Markwell (The Delta Riggs) and mastered by David Briggs (Little River Band and Australian Crawl), Save Us is a killer next step from a band with plenty of time still to rise. Catch them live on the road this week at Frankie’s Pizza in Sydney on May 31st and The Grace Darling in hometown Melbourne on June 2nd.
