Since we mentioned Melbourne curioso Meeka Kates in last night’s post, today seems a good day to talk about his new track Wild, a self-described “dark electronic love song with a whole lot of bass.”
Also according to Kates, the track “tells the story of a rather ill-fated romance and a girl looking for an escape, perhaps willing to let herself be deceived in the hopes of finding one. Despite the chorus, it isn’t necessarily meant to be as uplifting as it seems.”
Interesting! With the lyrical references to Guns N’ Roses’ Paradise City, the upbeat whistles and the singing about hearts going wild, Meeka Kates has delivered quite the musical paradox.
