There’s some serious shit going down in Melbourne alt-R&B artist Tali Sing‘s single On Call ft Dominique. People’s hearts seem to be getting fucked with. Tali Sing feels foreign ‘every time’. People are waking up on the wrong side of people’s beds, playing games with their own heads. It’s raw, downbeat and morose, but truly in that excellent, empathetic, expressive way that music so often can be.
And that’s just the track! The beautiful black and white video clip produced and directed by The Sideways Monkey Sean Meaney leads you into even darker territory. Showing the journey of two lovers, sometimes together, sometimes separate, it all ends with the guy finding his way into the ocean, with the intention being perhaps to end it all.
We’ve all had our hearts broken so badly enough we’ve ended up there, right?
Melburnians, get the fuck down to the Shebeen NOW to see Tali Sing live tonight. Sydney people, if you’re allowed to go to The World Bar on Friday 15 April, then go.
Now listen and watch:
In less than one year, Tali has ascended across social media platforms, packing out The Grace Darling Hotel (Melbourne) for his debut EP Launch ‘The Motions Of Heartache’. In mid 2015, Tali Sing released his first single ‘Breathe In’ and followed this with his second single and music video ‘Hiding’ from the debut EP .
